Expelled vs Exposed!

Well, I dont want to steal to much of the thunder from these sites, but if you havent heard about Ben Stein’s presentation of the movie Expelled, it is creating some waves.  Probably the largest reaction to it I have seen is the site Expelled Exposed, and it offers an opposing point of view regarding the material presented in Expelled.  The whole issue is regarding the inclusion of intelligent design as an equal theory to the theory of evolution.  Exposed claims that science operates on assumptions that can neither prove nor deny theological claims, and as such intelligent design theories have as much place in a science classroom as a geometry theorem in an Old English literature course.  What are your thoughts?

God Loves YouTube Too

[youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=wE_gSO7EnRc]
Our desire to consistently present the truth in love to anyone and everyone has led us to take this discussion over to YouTube. Sadly, my ugly mug is the one representing the blog, but hopefully that doesnt distract from the content too much. I would encourage anyone in the blogosphere to hop on YouTube and join in this discussion as well. The more the merrier.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

I have not written much on here in the past week, but know that there are exciting and new things on the horizon for this blog.  I have been working hard in the last couple weeks to begin a new chapter in it’s development, and that chapter is almost completed.  You can expect a few announcements and additions in the coming days, and a gradual transition into a very different kind of website.

Until then, please enjoy browsing the links and articles I’ve posted on the Resource page.  One new addition, The Centrality of the Gospel by Tim Keller, is a particularly awesome read and I highly recommend it.  Thank you for your patience and anticipation.  You will not be disappointed!

New Blog

If you are reading this, then you have obviously noticed I have a new blog. It will serve several functions for my beautiful wife and I.

1.) A way to keep friends and family updated on the goings-on of our lives.
2.) A place for me to rant, rave, and ramble about whatever gets me interested.
3.) A resource for various groups of people needing more information on topics that don’t necessarily get a lot of attention (culturally relevant theology, support for deployed soldiers and their families, dudeliness, and more).

I used to be pretty active on xanga, but then they started to suck, cluttered everything with ads, and generally sold their soul to capitalism. Facebook is alright, but it is also so comprehensive in vision that the “notes” function doesn’t really get enough attention. Now I’m getting back into this because I miss the ability to do some writing, share my thoughts, and get feedback on them. So here we go. Welcome, enjoy, say hello, and check out some of the links I have on the right side of the page.
