What’s Wrong Here?
I have done several posts on how to properly read and interpret scripture. A friend directed me to this YouTube video, and I had to laugh and cry. I am curious what everyone’s thoughts are on why exactly this guy’s interpretation, though I am sure his intentions are good, is “piss” poor.

it’s so bad. awful. wonder what seminary this guy went to… and what part of Germany he went to… i spent some time there and never saw that.

Hehe, “wow” was about all I could get out, too. So bad…
Him seemed pretty pissed off at Germany.
I bet the closing hymn was Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA”

I can’t speak too heavily for his interpretation of the Bible, but I can say that, were I new to the Christian faith, this video would probably send me running for the hills.

Hehe, for most of us who aren’t new to the faith, it would send us running to the hills as well.
For future reference, this guy is definitely not exegeting/interpreting the passage effectively. He’s taking it out of context to push an agenda that the passage doesn’t even comment about.
