Hello? You still alive?

08-angelico-silence.jpg

Hey all, Brad here.  I just wanted to post a quick update to end the long silence over the holidays and assure you that we are all still alive and kicking (although Josh did have a nasty run in with the mob… but he’s ok).  We have been visiting families, recovering from finals, and taking another one on the chin in the form of a vicious Jan-Term class.  We have not been idle, however, and have a few exciting things to release:

  1. Expect an announcement (in either this week or next) for some brand-new contributors!  We will be adding a few new regular authors to bear the load of the writing and bring a more diverse array of perspectives to the table.
  2. We are interviewing a potential webmaster for the site, which will include many improvements to the look, feel, and organization of the blog.
  3. Once we add the new authors, you will start to notice that authors will be writing more closely around recurring themes and topics.  For example, Josh will most likely be writing on topics concerning philosophy and epistemology, and I will be writing about men’s issues/masculinity.  These foci are picked by the contributor’s passion and preference, and are intended to help us not write around the same or similar topics.

We also have a few longer-term plans in the work, but we will keep you posted on those as they draw nearer.  Expect all new  episodes posts very soon.  Till then, happy blogging!

      THE SEMINARIAN WAGER

Everyone has faith. Regardless of how our faith developed, we should be willing to critically analyze those beliefs. While analyzing the validity of our faith, we should also be willing to analyze the validity of our doubts and cultural preconditions. If we are willing to do this, we wager that over time, the roots of our faith will strengthen toward truth, and will not be uprooted during challenging times. This site aims to provide worthwhile discussion regarding a critical evaluation of both religious belief and modern doubts.
